Community_School_Arts_0022 - EditedEnrollment Procedures

The Community School of the Arts provides a wide variety of lessons and classes across many disciplines. This includes piano, strings, wind, brass and percussion instruments, visual arts, dance, and creative writing. Our school year runs September through May and although it is divided into three 12-week semesters, students enroll in their choice of classes and lessons for the duration of the year.

Here at CSA, we take what we do very seriously and we expect our students to approach their experience with a certain level of commitment. At the end of each year, students are asked to sign a Letter of Intent in order to reserve their spot for the coming year. Returning students are always given first priority in scheduling. However, we encourage new and prospective students to put their names on the mailing and/or waiting lists at any time during the school year and to submit their financial disclosure forms early.

New students usually come to us through recommendations by church leaders, school principals, case workers, youth counselors, etc. but any child or family with a demonstrated need and desire is considered for enrollment and financial aid.

Our scholarships are awarded strictly by financial need. Students attend on full scholarships that cover all lessons, classes, instruments and materials for the entire school year. We do not offer sliding scale tuition.
